Disable auto-start (automated app opening) for Desktop App

Please follow the instructions below to stop the Pluto TV Desktop app from automatically opening on PC start up or restart:

  1. On your PC, open the "Start" menu and run MSConfig. To run MSConfig,type “msconfig.exe” (without quotations) in the Search box. As you type, results display. When you see “msconfig.exe,” click on it or press Enter, if it is highlighted.
  2. Click the "Startup" tab on the System Configuration main window. A list of all the startup programs displays with a check box next to each one. 
  3. To prevent Pluto TV from starting up with Windows, select the check box next to Pluto TV so there is NO check mark in the box. 
  4. Click "OK" once you have made your choices.

 

Please follow the instructions below to stop the Pluto TV Desktop app from automatically opening on PC Windows 8 start up or restart

 1. On your PC, hover to the right hand side of the screen and your Charm Bar will appear. Click on the Search button (magnifying glass) and type in "msconfig.exe (without quotations) into the Search box. Press Enter or Click on the MSCONFIG

2. MSCONFIG will show you your System Configurations: Click the "Startup" tab on the main window. A list of all the start up programs will be displayed with a check box next to each one.

3. To prevent Pluto TV from starting up with Windows simultaneously, Unselect the check box next to Pluto TV so that there is NO check mark in the box.

4. Click "OK" once you have made your choices.

    I use Windows 8 and it's different than the instructions here, can you update the instructions for Windows 8 users?
